The Ambassador of Japan to India Takeshi Yagi has called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
As per the state government release, the meeting was a courtesy call,
and that Yagi was accompanied by Masanori Nakano, Consul General of
Japan in Chennai, and Embassy Counsellor Toshihoro Yamakoshi.
The investments by Japan investments in the state of Tamil Nadu include
automaker Nissan’s plant at Oragadam and two-wheeler giant Yamaha’s
proposed facility near Chennai, while Japan International Cooperation
Agency (JICA) provides loans to projects like Chennai Metro Rail.
