Ricoh India to touch Rs 1000 crore revenue in FY'14

Ricoh India, a subsidiary of Ricoh Company, Japan has announced its aggressive expansion plans through introduction of three new production printers in the fast emerging Production Printing market in India. On this launch occasion, Ricoh also celebrated the milestone of reaching 100 installation base of color and black and white production printers.

In order to expand its reach and offer products to reduce cost of operation in the SMB market, Ricoh has launched Pro C 5100 series as entry level product in the range of production printers.

Ricoh India has grown 47% in the year ending March'12 and 45% in the year ending March'11. 61% contribution of this revenue upto March'13 came from its established unit of Office Products and Solutions ( multifunction printers, projectors, laser printers, photocopiers) while Production Printing business contributed 11%. Its new business unit of IT Services contributed 24% and 4% came from its new sales power unit (sale and service of laser printers). Share of new business units (including production printing) have grown at 20% in FY'11, which has now grown to 39% in FY12.
It has 2000 resellers and partners across its range of products and 61% business comes through direct channel and rest through indirect channel.

Speaking at the launch, Tetsuya Takano, MD and CEO, Ricoh India remarked, "Our market research revealed that there is a gap at the entry level production printing segments and customers are looking for solution that fulfills this need. With low cost of ownership and printing capability, the product is aimed to provide benefits to our customers and value at his workplace."

Speaking to The DQWeek on the occasion, Avijit Mukherjee, COO, Production Printer business unit said, "With Ricoh's wide range of product lines and launch of new series of Production Printers at the entry level segment, we are confident that our channel partners will be able to rapidly expand their business opportunities and increase their customer base. This will also help Ricoh in increasing its market in color production printing. Complementing this effort, Ricoh is also strengthening its supremacy in the mid segment of color production printing segment. Ricoh continues to invest in channel friendly support programs to compliment this expansion".
