AKAI Launches Takashi 40 Full HD LED TV For Rs 45,000

AKAI Launches Takashi 40 Full HD LED TV For Rs 45,000 AKAI has launched the Takashi 40, with a 40" screen sporting pixel dimensions of 1920x1080. The slim television is capable of natively playing Full HD (1080p) content; the narrow bezel makes it appear larger and nicer, according to a press release. The dynamic backlighting automatically adjusts the brightness according to ambient light.
Akai claims that the USB port can be used to play several movie formats in Full HD, in addition to music and pictures. Being an LED TV, the Takashi 40 consumes less power than an LCD TV of the same screen size.

The TV has three HDMI inputs, which is convenient enough if you own multiple playback devices (such as a set-top box, media player, and gaming console).

Coming to the audio, the 400 W PMPO output should be loud enough if the specs hold true. And from the image, the TV appears to be standing on a glass pedestal, and capable of horizontal angular adjustment. Here are the product specifications:
  • 40" Full HD (1080p) LED TV with a 12 mm narrow bezel, displays 16.7 million colours.
  • 1 x USB ports support Full HD movie playback, music tracks, and pictures.
  • 3 x HDMI-In.
  • 5 ms response time.
  • 400 Watt PMPO audio output.
  • Multiple sound effects.
  • PC compatible, Dynamic Backlight, Equalizer, 3D Comb Filter, Dynamic Noise Reduction, Dynamic Skin Correction, Vivid Colour Technology.
