iPhone 5 Launch confirmed Apple sends out Invites for Announcing the Release Date

Cupertino based Apple has sent invitation to media for September 12 event. This shows that new iPhone 5 release date has finally been fixed

Amidst iPhone 5 rumors, Apple has sent invitations to media for an event in San Francisco to be held on September 12. It looks quite clear that the Cupertino based technology major is going to announce it next version of iPhone at the event. Though not mentioning the exact purpose of the event, the e-mail signals iPhone 5’s release. The Apple invite says, “It’s almost here” and there is a silhouette of ‘5’ beneath the Sep. 12 date.

The Apple media event is to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater, where the latest iPad was announced in March. The event will begin at 10 a.m. The tech blogs are excited to hear the news. There have been rumors for a while that Apple will launch the next iPhone on Sep. 12. In July, iMore started the rumor that Apple would release iPhone 5 in an event on the date. The rumors also suggested that Apple would start selling the device nine days later on Friday, Sep. 21.
New iPhone; possible changes.

The new iPhone – whatever it is to be called – is expected to come with lots of drastic changes. As per rumors, the 2012 iPhone upgrade will have many special things compared to its previous models. First of all, the handset is to sport a larger display and it will support fourth-generation networks. Many similar things have leaked out about the new iPhone over last several months. Yet, Apple has not confirmed anything about the gadget. We will have to wait until Sep. 12 to have a glance at the phone.
“Among the changes expected to come to the next iPhone are a larger screen, as well as compatibility with fourth-generation cellular networks. Numerous components have leaked out over the past few months that hint at some of those features, from screen covers and near-finished cases, right down to the much-rumored smaller dock plug” comments Josh Lowensohn of CNET.

Further, a new form factor, a small dock plug and completely fresh innards are other featured things for iPhone 5. The new design of iPhone may be far thinner and lightweight. Apple might be designing the new iPhone keeping the leading Android handsets in mind. Prominent Android handsets like Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 and others have started to gain momentum with slim and strong builds. A new dock connector with 19 or less pins may be another attraction point with the new iPhone. The current dock plug has 30 pins and it needs a larger socket on iPhone. Above all, Apple may integrate a new quad core processor with its brand new A6 chipset, better RAM and connectivity options as well.
New iPods.

Apple’s usual fall music event occurs in the month of September. Hence, the Sep. 12 media event may witness to the release of both iPhone 5 and the new iPods, analysts think. According to 9to5 Mac, Apple will likely introduce updates for its three iPod devices at the Sep. 12 event. The upgrades for iPod touch, Nano and Shuffle may also come out with the new iOS 6 and other advanced features.
As per sources, all the new series of iPods will come in various colors. One of the lines will tout two memory capacities and two will have a single memory capacity. The current Nanos and Shuffles are available in different colors. The Nano has two memory options, while the Shuffle has one option. Anyway, these devices will likely get upgraded in the Sep.12 event.

Final Words
Indeed, Apple hasn’t spoken openly as to what type of device will be unveiled at the media event, but we can be sure that it is the promised one. Quite naturally, we can expect the iPhone 5, which has been in rumors for a long period. Apple has showcased the new iOS 6 at its WWDC 2012 conference in June. It is now expected to bring forth an upgrade for its much-touted iPhone smartphone.
